Boston Institute of Analytics is hiring a Corporate Litigation Lawyer with 5–15 years of experience to join their Mumbai office. The role involves handling complex civil and commercial disputes, providing strategic legal advisory, and representing the organization across various forums.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end civil litigation, including recovery suits, defamation claims, and contractual disputes.
- Draft and finalize pleadings, affidavits, and interim relief applications.
- Prepare evidence bundles and examination briefs, ensuring procedural compliance.
- Liaise with clients, witnesses, external counsel, and authorities.
- Maintain litigation trackers and monitor deadlines and court dates.
- Conduct legal research on civil procedure, contract law, criminal law, and case precedents.
- Draft legal notices, replies, settlement agreements, and pre-litigation correspondence.
- Prepare legal strategy notes and risk assessments for management.
- Represent the organization in civil courts, high courts, NCLT, consumer forums, and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Participate in arbitration, mediation, Lok Adalats, and conciliation processes.
- Provide legal advice on civil liabilities, litigation risks, and preemptive strategies.
- Review contracts and marketing or press content for litigation and reputational risks.
- Support internal departments on legal queries and escalations.
- Maintain legal dashboards, litigation trackers, and audit documentation.
- Assist in responding to statutory notices, court summons, and regulatory inquiries.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized law school; LL.M. is a strong plus.
- Licensed to practice law in India (Sanad mandatory).
- 5–15 years of proven litigation experience in civil suits, recovery cases, defamation, and contract disputes.
- Strong drafting skills and courtroom presence.
- Proficient with legal research platforms such as SCC Online or Manupatra.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High ethical standards and professionalism.
Salary/Stipend
