Details of the Job/Internship

Boston Institute of Analytics is hiring a Corporate Litigation Lawyer with 5-15 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Civil Litigation & Case Management

• Handle end-to-end litigation including recovery suits, defamation claims, contract breaches, and related matters.
• Draft pleadings and procedural documents—plaints, written statements, affidavits, rejoinders, interim relief applications, etc.
• Prepare evidence bundles, ensure timely court filings, and maintain litigation trackers.
• Coordinate with external counsel, clients, witnesses, and court authorities.

Legal Research & Drafting

• Conduct in-depth research on civil, commercial, and criminal procedures.
• Draft legal notices, responses, settlement agreements, and strategic memos.
• Analyze case law and prepare internal risk assessments and legal strategy notes.

Court Representation & ADR

• Represent the company in civil courts, High Court, NCLT, consumer forums, and other forums.
• Manage execution petitions, MSMED Act claims, and related enforcement matters.
• Participate in mediation, arbitration, Lok Adalats, and other dispute resolution mechanisms.

Internal Advisory & Risk Management

• Advise management and departments on civil liabilities, reputational risks, and litigation exposure.
• Review contracts, marketing materials, and press releases for potential legal concerns.
• Support HR, Operations, and Finance teams on legal queries and escalations.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain legal dashboards, trackers, compliance reports, and litigation audit records.
• Draft responses to statutory notices, legal summons, and regulatory queries.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized law school; LL.M. preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in India (Sanad mandatory).
• 5–15 years of hands-on litigation experience in civil and commercial disputes.
• Strong drafting, advocacy, and legal research skills.
• Proficient with legal databases (e.g., SCC Online, Manupatra).
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple matters independently.
• Upholds high standards of ethics and professionalism.

Salary/Stipend
