Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring Senior Associate and Principal Associate for its Corporate and M&A team in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handling M&A, private equity, venture capital funding, joint ventures, and strategic corporate transactions.
• Providing advisory on corporate laws, regulatory and sectoral laws, and compliance matters.
• Managing assignments independently from start to finish, including negotiations.
• Ensuring timely delivery of work products, including under tight deadlines.
• Staying updated on changes in law and jurisprudence.
• Contributing to knowledge management, research, and writing internal and external articles.
• Supporting business development initiatives in line with firm policies and plans.
• Collaborating with teams and mentoring junior associates.
• Managing client relationships and delivering commercially sound legal advice

Eligibility

• Five-year law degree from a reputed university with a strong academic record.
• LL.M., CA, or CS is an added advantage.
• 4–8 years of experience in corporate practice at reputed law firms.
• Strong understanding of Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, SEBI laws, RBI regulations, industrial and labour laws, data protection laws, Legal Metrology Act, 2010, and dispute resolution laws.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to interact confidently with clients and manage teams.
• High integrity, honesty, and commitment to work ethics.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
• Strong commercial acumen and client management skills.
