Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is hiring for the position of Corporate M&A - Principal Associate with 4-8 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Transactional Experience
- Hands-on experience with M&A, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate transactions
- Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex transaction documents
- Advisory Competence
- Strong exposure to advising on corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, and sector-specific compliance
- Well-versed with:
- Companies Act, 2013
- Indian Contract Act, 1872
- FEMA, 1999
- SEBI regulations
- RBI guidelines
- Competition Act, 2002
- Labour & Industrial Laws
- Data Protection & Legal Metrology laws
- Dispute resolution frameworks and arbitration laws
- Execution & Delivery
- Ability to manage matters independently, end-to-end, including client negotiations
- Capable of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Keeps abreast of legal developments and recent jurisprudence
Eligibility
- Five-year integrated law degree from a reputed university with a strong academic record
- Additional qualifications such as LL.M, C.S., or C.A. will be considered an advantage
- 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in the corporate practice of a reputed law firm
