Details of the Job/Internship

Zebra Technologies is hiring a Counsel, I with over 14 years of experience in commercial and contract law to join their hybrid office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contract legal support to business operations in India and Sri Lanka.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex customer and supplier contracts, including SaaS and software licensing agreements.
• Support bidding, tenders, and GEM registration processes.
• Advise on competition, regulatory, IP, labor, and general law matters.
• Partner with sales, procurement, and HR teams to align legal advice with business goals.
• Lead the structuring of complex business transactions and mitigate legal risks.
• Conduct compliance training for internal teams on contracting and regulatory matters.
• Provide legal guidance on marketing, promotions, and data privacy issues.
• Support regional and global legal projects across APAC.
• Maintain and update standard templates, precedents, and processes.

Eligibility

• J.D. from an accredited law school with 14+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial and contract law.
• Experience in competition law, data protection, and in-house legal roles preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong business-oriented and pragmatic legal approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within international teams.
