Details of the Job/Internship

Zebra Technologies is hiring Counsel, II to provide commercial and contract legal support for its business in India and Sri Lanka, with potential involvement in global and APAC projects. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide commercially-minded legal advice for business operations in India, Sri Lanka, and APAC.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts with customers and key suppliers for products, services, SaaS, and software licensing.
• Advise on competition, regulatory, and general law issues, including labor and intellectual property.
• Support bids, tenders, and significant business transactions, including GEM registration.
• Counsel on contract enforcement, interpretation, and claims.
• Deliver training on contracting principles and compliance.
• Advise on data privacy, marketing programs, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop legal templates, precedents, and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams on legal and business initiatives.

Eligibility

• J.D. from an accredited law school; must maintain licensure for law practice.
• 18+ years post-qualification experience in commercial and contracts law (8+ years with SaaS/deals experience for SaaS Counsel roles).
• Experience in regional competition law, in-house legal roles, and data protection law desirable.
• Strong drafting, communication, and business-oriented legal advisory skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in an international team.
