Details of the Job/Internship

Valeo is looking for a candidate for the position of Country Legal Counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Region or Country Legal is responsible for all business units and all Valeo locations in India that are associated with it. This includes validating customer agreements, ensuring valid agreements are entered with all suppliers, and managing legal litigations with suppliers/customers.
• The position requires collaboration skills and influencing skills as this role will engage at all levels of internal and external organizations, including relations with officials.
• Validation and finalization of Customer agreement in line with the guidance and expectations of Group Legal.
• Responsible for ensuring the validity of all customer agreements and in case of expiry initiating extension and completing on-time renewal.
• Supplier agreement management which includes entering the agreement with the supplier as per Valeo purchasing guidelines, ensuring monitoring and on-time renewal of supplier agreement.
• Supplier Tool agreement management which includes entering the agreement with the supplier as per Valeo purchasing guidelines, ensuring monitoring and on-time renewal of supplier agreement.
• Litigation management for all the commercial transactions with Customer and Supplier
• Risk management - Coach team members at all functions at ND/SSC and Site by explaining the importance of legal implications on the commercial transaction and improving the legal standard.
• Contribute to the Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting the code of Ethics and Valeo’s policies.
