LH2 Holdings is hiring a Crime News Writer with 2+ years of experience for a full-time remote role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Research and report on breaking crime news, police actions, arrests, and judicial developments.
- Write feature articles on notable crimes, criminal psychology, cold cases, and law enforcement perspectives.
- Convert official documents such as FIRs, court orders, and police releases into clear news content.
- Maintain factual accuracy and sensitivity towards victims and legal contexts.
- Collaborate with editors to pitch story ideas and follow editorial guidelines.
- Incorporate interviews, expert opinions, and verified quotes where relevant.
- Follow SEO best practices while maintaining journalistic quality.
Eligibility
- 2–4 years of writing or journalism experience.
- Strong interest in crime, legal reporting, and storytelling.
- Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research skills with attention to legal and factual details.
- Familiarity with the US legal system, police reporting, and court structures.
- Newsroom experience or published crime or legal content preferred.
