Cybage is hiring an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer with expertise in global and Indian data protection laws.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee the global privacy program and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
- Lead execution of the India Digital Data Privacy Bill.
- Establish frameworks for monitoring privacy compliance for controllers and processors.
- Review and update privacy policies in line with audits and regulatory requirements.
- Lead responses to data breaches, privacy complaints, and access requests.
- Assist with breach notification and remediation processes.
- Conduct privacy awareness programs and employee training.
- Plan and execute internal audits and prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations.
- Provide legal consultation and implement privacy guidelines across jurisdictions.
Eligibility
- Law degree with 5+ years of experience in data privacy and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in GDPR, CCPA, the India Digital Data Privacy Bill, and related data protection laws.
- Strong communication, program management, and incident response skills.
- Ability to monitor privacy trends and adapt policies accordingly.
- CIPPE certification or LL.M./Diploma in data protection laws.
