Details of the Job/Internship

Deloitte is hiring a Data Privacy professional to join its team in Jaipur. The role involves supporting clients in developing, implementing, and monitoring data protection and privacy frameworks in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations. This is an office-based role in Jaipur.

Role and Responsibilities

• Developing data protection policies and procedures in accordance with privacy laws and regulations for clients.
• Conducting assessments to identify data privacy and protection risks and developing mitigation strategies as per client requirements.
• Monitoring and evaluating data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and client policies.
• Providing guidance on data protection impact assessments, risk assessments, data governance, and privacy impact assessments.
• Designing and building security and privacy frameworks, processes, and controls for clients.
• Recommending privacy solutions, defining privacy metrics, and creating dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborating with internal teams to raise awareness of data protection policies and practices.
• Staying updated on global developments in data protection laws and updating policies and procedures accordingly.
• Developing proposals and engagement letters and working on internal risk formalities for project delivery.
• Maintaining records of data processing activities and data protection compliance efforts as per client requirements.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in law, information technology, or a related field.
• CIPT, CIPM, CIPPE, or other related certifications preferred.
• Minimum 4 to 10+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
