Details of the Job/Internship
Deloitte is hiring a Data Privacy professional with 4+ years of experience to join its office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop data protection policies and procedures in line with privacy laws and regulations.
- Conduct data privacy risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for clients.
- Monitor data processing activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Guide clients on DPIAs, privacy impact assessments, data governance, and risk assessments.
- Design and implement privacy and security frameworks, processes, and controls.
- Recommend privacy solutions and define metrics and dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote awareness of data protection practices.
- Track global developments in data protection laws and update policies accordingly.
- Develop proposals and engagement letters as per client requirements.
- Maintain records of processing activities and compliance documentation.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CIPT, CIPM, CIPPE, or similar certifications preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws, including the Personal Data Protection Bill, India.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
