Details of the Job/Internship

WPP is hiring a mid-level Data Tech Lawyer with 4+ years of experience to join their Mumbai office, supporting their global Media legal team with a focus on data and technology.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on technology products, identifying legal, privacy, and governance risks.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex technology, advertising, and data-related agreements.
• Monitor developments in data laws and new technologies, including AI.
• Collaborate with the legal team to improve efficiency and quality of legal support.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, training materials, and documentation.
• Support and mentor legal trainees within the team.
• Some travel may be required.

Eligibility

• Law degree with 4+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Working knowledge of privacy laws.
• Ability to apply legal knowledge practically in a complex business environment.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex data and technology-related agreements.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Strategic thinking and sound business judgment.
• Interest in emerging technologies and awareness of evolving global data laws.
• Advertising, digital media, or technology sector experience is a plus.
• In-house and cross-border legal experience preferred.

Salary/Stipend
