Details of the Job/Internship
Chitkara University is hiring a Dean for Chitkara Law School with over 15 years of academic and administrative experience to join their campus in Rajpura.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum design, review, and implementation in line with BCI guidelines and global best practices.
- Promote interdisciplinary, experiential, and research-led legal education.
- Oversee academic audits, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies (BCI, UGC, NAAC, etc.).
- Manage budgets, resources, faculty recruitment, and academic policies.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty.
- Promote faculty development, research, and publications.
- Enhance student engagement through internships, moot courts, legal aid clinics, and placements.
- Build collaborations with law firms, judiciary, NGOs, and government bodies.
- Represent the Law School at academic and legal forums.
- Guide research initiatives and establish centers of excellence in emerging legal fields.
Eligibility
- Ph.D. in Law or equivalent from a reputed university.
- Minimum 15 years of academic/administrative experience in a reputed law institution, including leadership roles.
- Thorough understanding of BCI, UGC, and NAAC regulations.
- Strong academic record with research publications in reputed journals.
