Details of the Job/Internship

Parle Agro is hiring for the position of Deputy General Manager Legal with 18-20 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Role and Responsibilities

Litigation Management (Civil, Criminal, Arbitration, IPR)

• Devise and implement litigation strategies aligned with business interests
• Ensure timely initiation and defense of legal proceedings
• Coordinate legal representation, appearances, and responses
• Maintain a centralized litigation database and present quarterly updates to senior management

Regulatory Affairs

• Oversee timely renewals and maintenance of all plant-level and operational licenses
• Identify and secure new licenses/permissions for new and existing locations
• Review product labels for compliance with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, and IPR regulations
• Represent the company in proceedings under relevant food and regulatory laws
• Advise on marketing and promotional content from a regulatory standpoint
• Ensure end-to-end compliance across all operational units

Project Management

• Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for new plant locations or business expansions
• Obtain statutory licenses and permits for project execution
• Liaise with government bodies (e.g., power, water, effluent discharge authorities)
• Research and facilitate access to applicable government subsidies (e.g., land, VAT, stamp duty)
• Support any strategic projects assigned by management

Property Matters

• Execute due diligence for acquisition of commercial, industrial, or residential properties
• Coordinate with State Industrial Development Corporations or private sellers for title verification, documentation, and registration processes

Eligibility

• 18–20 years of legal experience with an LL.B. degree.
• Strong exposure to FSSAI, Legal Metrology, IPR laws, and corporate compliance.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and external legal counsel.
• Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have handled property matters and cross-functional legal advisory for business operations.
