Details of the Job/Internship
JSW Steel is hiring a Deputy General Manager / General Manager – Legal with 10–15 years of experience to lead legal operations across its business verticals in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, MoUs, and licensing agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with business goals and legal requirements.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations (Companies Act, Contract Act, IPR, IT Act, etc.).
- Handle pre-litigation, arbitration, and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and audits to support internal controls.
- Assist in board/shareholder meetings, statutory filings, M&A, and restructuring.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, HR, and operations teams on legal issues.
- Lead negotiations with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university (CS qualification preferred).
- 10–15 years of legal experience in manufacturing, infrastructure, or digital sectors.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate, commercial, and technology law.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
