Details of the Job/Internship

Surana & Surana is hiring a Deputy Head for its Corporate Litigation practice with 10–15 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute legal strategies for corporate and insolvency matters that align with client business objectives.
• Act as lead counsel in proceedings before the NCLT, NCLAT, and the Supreme Court.
• Manage cases involving the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP), liquidation, and avoidance transactions.
• Oversee disputes related to shareholder oppression, mismanagement, and schemes of arrangement.
• Supervise and mentor a team of associates, reviewing drafts and guiding complex research.
• Manage the vertical’s workflow to ensure all deadlines and quality standards are exceeded.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, providing risk mitigation advice and case updates.

Eligibility

• 10–15 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Corporate Litigation.
• Extensive experience appearing before the NCLT and NCLAT is mandatory.
• Deep expertise in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and Companies Act, 2013.
• Proven track record in handling shareholder disputes and M&A-related litigation.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional advocacy, drafting, and strategic thinking skills.
