Details of the Job/Internship

IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Deputy Legal Counsel with 3–4 years of relevant experience to join their Retail Banking Legal team in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and advice to the retail banking team.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies.
• Review and negotiate contracts with third-party vendors.
• Conduct legal research and provide risk mitigation advice.
• Draft and implement legal policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory changes and inform stakeholders.
• Conduct training on legal and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams on legal risk issues.
• Manage external legal counsel.
• Prepare reports for senior management.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s in Law (LLB).
• Master’s in Law (LLM).
• 3–4 years of experience in legal roles related to retail banking.
