IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Deputy Legal Counsel with 2-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves providing legal advice and support to the Retail Banking Group, handling legal escalations, and ensuring statutory compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to business groups on Retail Banking matters.
- Facilitate closure of transactions by advising and supporting client groups.
- Formulate strategies with Retail Banking teams for managing disputed cases.
- Advise on policy and transactional issues to ensure proper legal facilitation.
- Monitor statutory compliance requirements.
- Manage customer/legal escalations and regulatory issues.
- Draft and finalize collection-related SLAs and legal documents with service providers and law firms.
- Maintain legal MIS and document legal interventions.
- Develop and conduct legal training modules for field teams.
- Update legal manuals and procedures related to Retail Banking.
- Recommend process and policy improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Stay updated on global legal trends and competitor strategies.
Eligibility
- Graduation in B.Sc., B.Tech, BCA, B.Com, or BBA.
- Post-graduation in MBA or PGDM.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant legal experience.
