Brainware University is hiring a Deputy Legal Manager with 3–5 years of experience to join its Kolkata campus.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support and manage daily legal and compliance work of the University.
- Draft, review, and vet agreements, legal notices, replies, and internal documents.
- Handle legal documentation and correspondence with clarity and accuracy.
- Assist in compliance with education, labour, contract, and regulatory laws.
- Coordinate with senior management and external legal counsel.
- Maintain organised and confidential legal records and documentation.
Eligibility
- 3–5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience as a Legal Officer or Deputy Legal Manager in a university or college, or as a practising advocate.
- LL.M. degree is desirable.
- Enrolment with a State Bar Council for practising lawyers.
- Strong proficiency in English, particularly in legal drafting and correspondence.
- Working knowledge of education laws, contracts, labour laws, and compliance requirements.
- Comfort with digital documentation and basic legal software or tools.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information.
