Details of the Job/Internship

Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. is hiring a Deputy Manager - Legal to join their team in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Litigation Management: Act as the regional lead for civil, criminal, labor, and arbitration matters; liaise with external attorneys and represent the company in court proceedings.
• Legal Drafting: Prepare and vet petitions, complaints, and legal drafts while coordinating with law enforcement for investigations.
• Compliance & Advisory: Ensure adherence to the Food Safety and Standards Act (FSSAI), Pollution Control, and Labor Laws; conduct periodic compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Real Estate: Handle end-to-end drafting and vetting of Lease/Leave and License agreements; conduct property due diligence for new restaurant feasibility.
• Negotiation: Liaise with landlords and advocates to finalize property agreements in the best interest of the company.
• Reporting: Prepare compliance dashboards, legal briefs, and presentations for senior management review.
• Training: Provide legal awareness training to internal business teams to ensure regional compliance.

Eligibility

• Qualified Lawyer (LL.B.) with relevant post-qualification experience in a corporate or law firm environment.
• Strong exposure to Litigation, Real Estate Law, and Regulatory Compliance (specifically FSSAI and Labor Laws).
• Demonstrated experience in recovery matters and proactive dispute management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and high-quality presentations.
• Excellent command over written and verbal communication with superior drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
