Vakilsearch is hiring a Deputy Manager – Legal with 8–10 years of professional experience to join its Chennai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize agreements, contracts, and MoUs.
- Vet agreements drafted by internal/external counsel.
- Manage litigation and liaise with external lawyers and law firms.
- Advise management on corporate, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
- Support departments and branch offices on legal queries.
- Handle arbitration proceedings and coordinate with legal consultants.
- Assist in drafting internal policies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Stay updated on corporate, employment, and property-related laws.
- Prepare reports summarizing legal risks, case status, and compliance updates.
Eligibility
- LLB required; LLM preferred.
- 8–10 years of combined experience in legal practice and corporate/industry roles.
- Strong expertise in company and corporate law.
- Exposure to employment, labor, and property-related laws preferred.
- Proven experience in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
