Essar is hiring a Deputy Legal Manager with 4+ years of experience to join their Mumbai Head Office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice across business verticals on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws including FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Consumer Protection, Data Privacy, and ASCI guidelines.
- Advise on product labelling, marketing communications, and promotional activities.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise commercial contracts and agreements.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including documentation and repository maintenance.
- Support business teams during negotiations while safeguarding organisational interests.
- Ensure secretarial compliances for an unlisted private limited company.
- Support statutory and internal audits, licences, and regulatory filings.
- Coordinate litigation matters with external legal counsels.
- Drive enterprise risk management initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Liaise with corporate IP and ethics teams to ensure governance and policy compliance.
Eligibility
- Law graduate (LLB – full-time) from a reputed institute in India.
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS – ICSI) preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 4+ years of in-house legal experience.
- Exposure to secretarial compliances and regulatory matters.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, research, and stakeholder management skills.
