Details of the Job/Internship

Newgen Software is hiring a Deputy Manager – Legal with 5–7 years of experience to join their office in Noida and provide comprehensive legal support across business functions, ensuring compliance across geographies including India, the USA, and Canada.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and interpretation on various business-related legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including EULAs, subscription agreements, MSAs, implementation and support agreements, NDAs, and more.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring regulatory compliance including data protection and anti-money laundering.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and offer proactive legal counsel.
• Review RFPs and tender documents to assess legal and commercial risks.
• Handle consumer complaints, respond to legal notices, and manage litigation and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as sales, finance, and operations for contract closures and legal resolutions.
• Draft and update internal legal policies and SOPs.
• Manage intellectual property matters including registration, protection, and litigation support.

Eligibility

• Full-time B.A. LL.B. (Hons) or LL.B. from a recognized university, preferably with a B.A. or B.Com background.
• 5–7 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably in the IT or technology industry with a focus on contracts and commercial legal matters.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an in-house legal team within a corporate environment.
• MCA in addition to LL.B. will be considered an added advantage.

Salary/Stipend
