Details of the Job/Internship

The Indian Steel Association (ISA) is hiring for the position of Deputy Manager, Trade and Legal with 5 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze trade and legal developments affecting the steel and allied industries.
• Draft reports, legal briefs, and position papers on issues related to trade laws, mining regulations, environmental (NGT) laws, and other relevant legal matters.
• Coordinate with industry stakeholders, legal advisors, and supporting agencies to consolidate inputs and develop comprehensive representations.
• Engage in preparation and submission of policy recommendations and legal responses on behalf of the Association.
• Stay updated with domestic and international trade policies and their implications on the steel sector.
• Assist in representing the Association’s views before regulatory and policymaking bodies.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trade-related matters, preferably in the steel or allied industries.
• In-depth understanding of trade laws, legal frameworks, mining laws, and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to draft legal briefs and policy documents independently.

Salary/Stipend
