Details of the Job/Internship
Bajaj Finserv is hiring a Deputy Unit Manager – Legal with 3–4 years PQE to join its Pune Corporate Office (PTP). The role involves auditing implementation of legal changes in loan collaterals, drafting and vetting lending documentation, advising on fixed deposit business, and providing legal support across consumer, retail, and SME lending.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting audits of implementation of legal changes in loan collaterals.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan and security documents for consumer loans, personal loans, and loan against property.
- Drafting and reviewing terms and conditions relating to fixed deposits and advising on related queries.
- Structuring customer journeys and loan documentation for digital lending modes.
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating product-specific documentation.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements relating to interest subvention, outsourcing, service providers, collaboration NDAs, escrow, and digital initiatives.
- Implementing and improving standard templates for new and existing products.
- Drafting and vetting terms and conditions for promotional offers.
- Researching and analysing legal and regulatory developments and aligning documentation with statutory changes.
- Coordinating with external law firms, where required.
- Providing timely legal and contractual advice to internal stakeholders.
- Assisting senior lawyers in the team, depending on capability and performance.
Eligibility
- 3–4 years PQE, preferably in the finance industry or a law firm.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lending documentation.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulatory guidelines relating to the BFSI industry, including the IT Act, Aadhaar Act, data privacy laws, and the IBC.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a team and take responsibility for assigned work.
- Experience in a process-oriented environment and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Ability to support other teams and work extended hours, where required.
