Details of the Job/Internship

Agratas is hiring a Lead IP Counsel with 12–15 years of experience to join their legal team in India.

Role and Responsibilities

• IP Management & Documentation: Develop and implement brand protection strategies, manage global IP portfolio, and oversee IPR filings and governance.
• Training & Supervision: Train internal teams and guide junior legal staff on IP-related processes and best practices.
• IP Litigation & Disputes: Oversee enforcement, litigation, and prosecution of IP rights, including cost-benefit analysis and timeline management.
• Infringement Handling: Manage resolution of IP disputes and coordinate actions against infringements.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, lead IP professionals, and coordinate with domestic and international law firms.

Eligibility

• LLB or LLM from a recognized university; specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) preferred.
• 12–15 years of professional experience in IP law, ideally with international exposure in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong understanding of Indian and international IP laws and treaties.
• Experience in R&D, automotive, or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Certifications in IP from India or global institutions are a plus.
