Details of the Job/Internship

SAEL Group is hiring for the position of DGM/GM -Legal contracts and commercials with 15-16 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Management:
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide spectrum of commercial and strategic agreements including:
• Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
• EPC and vendor contracts
• RFPs, RFQs, LOIs, and LOAs
• O&M and service-level agreements
• Cross-Functional Legal Support:
• Collaborate closely with internal legal, project development, procurement, operations, and business development teams to ensure contracts are legally sound and commercially viable.
• Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
• Ensure all agreements comply with applicable laws and sector regulations, minimizing legal exposure and supporting long-term project success.
• Stakeholder Advisory:
• Guide internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and business impact. Provide strategic legal insights during bidding, execution, and project lifecycle stages.

Eligibility

• Experience:
• 15–16 years of post-qualification experience with a strong focus on commercial contracting in the power sector (mandatory).
• Prior exposure to both in-house legal teams and law firms is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated success in drafting and negotiating complex project-based agreements.
• Legal Expertise:
• In-depth understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape for power and energy infrastructure in India.
