TransPerfect is hiring for the position of Digital/Legal Transcriber with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Pune. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Edit and polish AI-generated deposition transcripts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and format consistency.
• Apply proper legal terminology, speaker identification, and accurate representation of legal events (e.g., objections, exhibit marking, cross-examinations).
• Accurately document nonverbal cues such as gestures or expressions (e.g., pointing, shrugging, nodding).
• Distinguish between spoken content and background noise, and effectively interpret diverse accents, dialects, and speech patterns.
• Adhere to legal formatting standards and client-specific requirements.
• Perform final quality assurance reviews prior to transcript submission.

Eligibility

• Ability to pass:
• TransPerfect Legal Knowledge Assessment
• ASCII Transcription Assessment (demonstrating proper formatting, transcription skills, and legal familiarity)
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and court procedures
• Exceptional listening skills, attention to detail, and proofreading abilities
• Solid command of grammar, punctuation, and legal formatting standards
• Must use your own AI transcription tool/platform to generate initial draft transcripts
• Preferred:
• Certifications (preferred but not required):
• AAERT CET, NCRA, or CSR
• Completion of a formal transcription program from institutions such as:
• Blueledge
• Court Reporting Academy
• Learn to Transcribe Academy
• Stenograph’s MaxScribe
• Transcribe Anywhere
• TranscribeMe
• Experience:
• 4–6 years of professional transcription experience may substitute formal coursework
• Former stenographic reporters are strongly encouraged to apply

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
