Details of the Job/Internship
Stryker is hiring a Director – Legal with 10–15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal counsel on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor, distribution, licensing, and partnership agreements.
- Advise on legal issues related to medical device regulations, IP, employment, M&A, data privacy, competition law, anti-bribery, sales, and marketing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including FDA, MDR, HIPAA, and other industry standards.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact.
- Identify legal risks and oversee litigation and dispute resolution.
- Ensure good corporate governance and support M&A transactions.
- Develop and implement compliance programs and conduct legal training.
- Lead and mentor the legal team and manage external legal counsel.
Eligibility
- 10–15 years of legal experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Background in a well-known law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong legal acumen and business judgment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical device regulatory landscape.
