Details of the Job/Internship

American Express is hiring a Director & Counsel with over 10 years of litigation experience to join their legal operations office in Gurugram. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure legal order processing complies with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Handle escalated legal orders for the India market, including providing witness testimony.
• Escalate legal orders to senior counsel when required.
• Provide coaching, performance support, and training to team members.
• Manage legal and operational risks, escalate issues, and ensure regulatory adherence.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Law with active admission and good standing.
• 10+ years of litigation experience handling diverse matters.
• Experience leading teams or managing large-volume discovery processes.
• Strong communication, executive presence, and proficiency in English.
• High ethical standards, strong work ethic, and comfort with learning new processes and technology tools.
