Details of the Job/Internship

Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Director and Head of Legal, India with extensive legal and compliance experience to support its Mumbai commercial affiliate and Hyderabad site. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise business units on commercial, regulatory, employment, and operational legal matters.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks and respond to ongoing litigation issues.
• Represent legal interests on leadership committees and corporate governance bodies.
• Support IP protection in coordination with global teams.
• Develop and deliver legal education and guidelines.
• Monitor legal developments and engage with trade associations.
• Partner closely with Compliance for policy review and training.
• Lead internal investigations and support audits.
• Promote a culture of integrity, diversity, and confidentiality.
• Manage external counsel and prioritize workloads effectively.

Eligibility

• Law degree and qualified to practice in India.
• Approximately 15 years of professional experience, ideally in pharmaceutical law.
• Experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies preferred.
• Superior integrity, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
