Details of the Job/Internship

Marvell is hiring a Director, Assistant General Counsel with experience of 10+ years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal advisor to senior management and business teams in India.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, employment, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
• Support government and regulatory engagement aligned with business objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, employment, regulatory, and insurance documents.
• Manage claims, disputes, and litigation, including coordination with external counsel.
• Conduct and oversee internal investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Develop, review, and improve internal legal policies and processes.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on business impact.
• Manage and mentor the local legal team.
• Support licensing, permits, and compliance approvals.
• Advise the country manager on strategic legal initiatives.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a top-tier institution.
• Active enrolment with the India Bar Council.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience in law firms and in-house roles.
• Strong expertise in Indian corporate, commercial, employment, and IP laws.
• Experience advising multinational companies is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in cross-cultural and global team environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
