Details of the Job/Internship

Capital One is hiring for the position of Director Compliance to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance advice on regulatory requirements, company policies, and complex business projects.
• Guide the development and implementation of business policies, standards, and control procedures.
• Lead or contribute to department-wide training initiatives on compliance and regulatory topics.
• Evaluate customer complaints, escalate issues, and coordinate with subject matter experts for resolution.
• Analyze data to identify risk trends and offer proactive guidance on internal and external threats.
• Stay current with applicable laws and regulations and maintain deep subject matter expertise.
• Review and validate control assessments for accuracy and consistency with testing standards.
• Assess the compliance impact of internal audits, regulatory exams, and identified issues.
• Advise on new product launches, operational changes, and law or regulatory updates.
• Assist in designing, maintaining, and enhancing compliance monitoring, training, and reporting mechanisms.
• Support business units through expert input on change management initiatives and compliance strategy.
• Conduct in-depth reviews and targeted validations of controls tied to regulatory requirements.
• Participate in compliance testing and manage third-party compliance reviews.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret compliance data to ensure consistency and robust risk management.
• Contribute to the preparation of compliance reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) or Master of Law (LL.M.).
• Proven experience in regulatory compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to influence across business functions
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management within the financial services industry.
