Details of the Job/Internship
EnKash is hiring for the position of Director - Legal, Compliance & Company Secretarial with 8+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai, Pune and Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with RBI regulations related to PAPG, PPI, and fintech products.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and controls.
- Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and timely submissions of reports and filings.
- Act as the primary liaison with RBI and other regulatory authorities.
- Monitor evolving regulatory changes and ensure timely adaptation.
Legal & Risk Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, and legal documentation with partners, vendors, and institutions.
- Minimize legal risks by ensuring regulatory and business alignment.
- Manage legal disputes and oversee litigation strategy, if required.
- Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure legal compliance across operations.
Company Secretarial & Governance
- Coordinate with CS teams for statutory filings, board meetings, and shareholder resolutions.
- Ensure robust compliance with corporate governance norms and Companies Act provisions.
- Maintain critical records such as regulatory documentation and shareholder agreements.
Contract Management
- Own end-to-end contract lifecycle—drafting, execution, compliance, and renewal tracking.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure terms are fulfilled and risks are mitigated.
- Streamline internal legal documentation processes for operational efficiency.
Risk & Governance Frameworks
- Design and implement internal risk controls and compliance policies.
- Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, Data Privacy, and cybersecurity laws.
- Support internal teams in understanding and following compliance frameworks.
Eligibility
- 8+ years of experience in legal and compliance roles in fintech, BFSI, or payments sector.
- Deep understanding of RBI regulatory frameworks for PAPG, PPI, and B2B payments.
- Proven experience handling RBI audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reporting.
- Strong legal drafting and negotiation expertise.
- Exposure to company secretarial functions including board meeting compliance and statutory filings.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
