Details of the Job/Internship

Atlassian is hiring a Director of Employment Law with 12+ years of experience to lead its employment legal function in India.

Role and Responsibilities

Act as the primary legal advisor on all employment matters in India.
Build and lead the employment law function and scalable legal processes.
Advise senior leadership and liaise with regulators and external counsel.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and People Operations on strategic initiatives.
Monitor legal developments and ensure compliance with Indian labor law.
Conduct training on legal risk, compliance, and best practices.
Contribute to global legal projects and functional maturity.

Eligibility

Qualified lawyer in India, in good standing.
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with substantial in-house legal exposure.
Expertise in Indian labor and employment law.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
