Details of the Job/Internship
Condé Nast India is hiring a Director of Legal to head the legal department with 10 years of experience for the Indian market and shared service centers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the India legal team.
- Provide commercial, pragmatic legal advice aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage intellectual property, litigation, commercial contracts, data privacy, employment, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.
- Monitor and communicate legal and regulatory developments impacting the business.
- Manage external legal resources and legal costs efficiently.
- Maintain relationships with India leadership and global stakeholders.
- Ensure local legal compliance of global policies and initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver clear reporting on legal matters handled.
Eligibility
- At least 10 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably in-house at a senior level.
- Expertise in corporate law, India regulatory compliance; employment and IP law expertise is preferred.
- Experience in multinational corporations, compliance programs, legal team management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
