Details of the Job/Internship

DBS Global University is hiring a Director – School of Law to join their campus in Dehradun. This is a full-time role responsible for academic and administrative leadership of the Law School, ensuring academic excellence, faculty development, institutional reputation, student enrollment growth, and regulatory compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for teaching, curriculum development, and academic governance.
• Lead accreditation, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote research culture, publications, moot courts, legal clinics, and academic collaborations.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase student admissions and enhance institutional branding.
• Engage with schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and professional bodies to strengthen the admissions pipeline.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members to build a high-performing academic team.
• Foster a collaborative culture of professional development and academic innovation.
• Oversee student engagement initiatives including internships, placements, legal aid clinics, and industry partnerships.
• Strengthen alumni relations and employer connections to enhance graduate outcomes.
• Prepare academic budgets, performance reports, and strategic proposals for university leadership.

Eligibility

• Ph.D. in Law is highly preferred; minimum LLM from a recognized university or institution of national importance such as NLU, NLSIU, NALSAR, or WBNUJS.
• Minimum 15 years of academic experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (Dean/Director).
• Demonstrated success in academic administration, accreditation, and admissions growth.
• Strong understanding of Indian legal education frameworks and regulatory environment.
