Details of the Job/Internship

GITAM School of Law is hiring a Director with a minimum of 15 years of academic or professional experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles, to join their campus in Visakhapatnam.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the School’s strategic vision aligned with the university’s mission.
• Enhance national and international reputation in legal education and research.
• Oversee curriculum design, review, and innovation in teaching.
• Promote faculty research and secure grants for research activities.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and manage resources effectively.
• Lead faculty and staff recruitment, mentoring, and evaluation.
• Build strong industry ties and foster student career opportunities.
• Promote student success through advising, mentoring, and welfare initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Bar Council of India (BCI) standards and accreditation processes.

Eligibility

• Ph.D. in Law from a reputed and recognized university in India or abroad.
• Minimum 15 years of academic or professional experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record in teaching, research, and academic administration.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of legal education and regulatory frameworks.
