Details of the Job/Internship
They are looking for a qualified advocate with a PQE of 1-3 years to join theirr Dispute Resolution Team in Bangalore as an Associate. In this growth-oriented & hands-on role, the candidate would be expected to demonstrate strong legal acumen and ownership.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting & vetting of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, memos, etc.
- Attending court hearings and arguing matters while representing clients.
- Strategizing, preparing for, and attending trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
- Drafting of legal notices, default notices, replies to legal notices, etc.
- Should have working knowledge and experience of CPC, Consumer Law, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, Contract Law, Limitation, Registration, etc.
- Should have experience in handling banking matters, consumer disputes, and arbitration matters.
- Should have the capability of conducting legal research with precision and proficiency.
- Participating in business development and marketing-related initiatives to build the practice
- Contributing to the firm's thought leadership through the contribution of insightful content.
- Contributing to the firm values and culture through participation in CSR, pro-bono, and social activities
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a reputed institution with 1-3 years PQE, preferably in a law firm.
- An understanding of applicable laws and the procedures.
- Member of state/local bar association.
- Excellent research skills and persuasive writing skills.
- Analyzing cases and predicting outcomes when the legal scenario changes.
- Strategic approach to identifying and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
- Have drafting experience and litigation experience before various courts in Karnataka.
- Preferred someone who has worked in banking, labor, and service law.
- Should be fluent in English and Kannada.
