Details of the Job/Internship

VNS Chambers is hiring a Drafting Counsel (Litigation & Arbitration) with 2–3 years of experience to join their offices in South and Central Delhi. The role involves drafting pleadings for matters before the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court, as well as handling drafting work in arbitrations. The position requires close involvement in case strategy, conference preparation, and advanced legal research. Remuneration is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting SLPs, civil and criminal appeals, writ petitions, civil miscellaneous applications, contempt petitions, and review and curative petitions.
• Drafting applications, rejoinders, written submissions and detailed argument notes.
• Drafting statements of claim and defence and allied pleadings in arbitrations.
• Conducting advanced legal research on complex constitutional, commercial and procedural law issues.
• Assisting in case strategy, conference preparation, and court and tribunal matters.

Eligibility

• 2–3 years of strong drafting experience in litigation and arbitration.
• Excellent legal research skills with the ability to analyse judgments, statutes and comparative jurisprudence.
• Sound understanding of pleadings before the Supreme Court of India and High Courts.
• Ability to draft independently with clarity, precision and structure.
• Ability to clear a drafting and research test.
