Details of the Job/Internship

The New Indians is hiring a seasoned Legal Editor to take full leadership responsibility for its global flagship show, “May It Please My Lords.” 

Role and Responsibilities

• Independently identify, approach, and secure participation of Supreme Court Judges, international activists, and global thought leaders.
• Drive the editorial framework with legal depth, narrative clarity, and intellectual rigor.
• Oversee research, briefing documents, question modules, and issue framing.
• Supervise end-to-end production cycles, from research to final editorial approval.
• Coordinate with production, scripting, design, and digital teams to maintain high-quality output.
• Convert episodes into high-retention digital content, monitor analytics, and enhance audience engagement.
• Manage protocol-driven communication with embassies, academic institutions, and policy stakeholders.
• Ensure uncompromising editorial discipline and uphold the brand’s integrity.

Eligibility

• 10–12 years of experience in legal journalism with reputed national or international media organisations.
• Proven access to senior judicial, legal, and policy circles.
• Strong editorial judgement, research skills, and professional integrity.
• Experience in leading large-scale public affairs, legal-policy programming, or long-format editorial products.
• Editorial maturity, discretion, emotional intelligence, and the ability to engage with apex judiciary and global institutions.

Salary/Stipend
