Details of the Job/Internship
Deloitte is hiring an Employment Counsel (Deputy Manager) to join its Legal Team in Bangalore. The role involves supporting senior counsels on employment law matters across India and South Asia, reviewing agreements, providing legal guidance, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment regulations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing agreements related to hiring various types of resources.
- Draft and review legal documents pertaining to employment law matters.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including talent teams, legal experts, and general counsel.
- Conduct legal research on employment law issues as required.
- Prepare and circulate monthly legal update trackers on employment laws within the legal team.
- Support talent teams on labor office notices, employee matters, and workforce-related issues.
- Review and update talent policies from employment and contractual law perspectives.
- Assist HR and business teams in employment law compliance reviews and responses.
- Take on additional legal responsibilities as assigned to protect the firm’s interests.
Eligibility
- Relevant experience in employment law and corporate legal support.
- Strong legal drafting, research, and advisory skills.
- Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and manage compliance matters.
