Details of the Job/Internship
Velocity Global is hiring for the position of Employment Counsel to join their office Virtually.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and draft complex and general employment law aspects and agreements, initially focusing on India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
- Work with partners to manage compliance matters, legal exposure, and risk management, and provide legal support and advice.
- Provide legal advice on setting up and maintaining local entities in the focus countries.
- Provide guidance on projects across diverse areas of international employment matters based on legislative or regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the activities of outside counsel.
Eligibility
- LL.B., LL.M, J.D., or an equivalent degree recognised by the Bar Council of India.
- At least 3 years of employment law experience, whether in private practice or in an in-house environment. Regional employment law experience.
- Business proficiency in the English language is required.
- Demonstrate experience handling multiple cases simultaneously, project management, and providing practical compliant solutions.
- Experience with Employer of Record (EoR).
- Adjust to changes and local requirements of local regulations and to provide fast and practical advice to internal clients.
