Wipro is hiring an Employment Counsel with experience of 4 to 8 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Employment Advisory: Advise internal stakeholders on day-to-day and out-of-the-ordinary employee-related matters. This may include matters about disciplinary, behavioural, and performance issues.
- Work with internal teams such as HR, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition in formulating, reviewing, revising policies, and conducting training under the law.
- Employment Litigation & Legal notice: Liase with external counsel on litigation about employees and to strategize with the counsel to obtain the best possible outcome for Wipro.
- Employment Conciliation: Own employee conciliations before the Labour authorities (this includes formulating an appropriate response for the labour authorities)
- Compliance with Labour Laws: Ensure that the company and vendor are aligned with the applicable labour laws and advise on matters such as CLRA, PF, EPS, Minimum Wages, etc.
- Should be willing to travel: Work includes travelling across PAN India locations.
Eligibility
- Experience advising on employment-related issues in a corporate setting, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proven track record of managing complex legal matters and providing practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
