Applied Materials is hiring an Employment Law Counsel with 6–8 years of experience to provide strategic legal support on employment law matters in India and advise HR and leadership teams.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employment matters including hiring, terminations, employee relations, and policy implementation.
- Prepare and review employment-related agreements and documents.
- Manage or represent the company in employment litigation, arbitration, and disputes.
- Coordinate with external counsel on employment issues.
- Conduct training and lead policy development.
- Lead regional legal projects and advise on regulatory changes.
- Mentor team members and collaborate across departments.
- Travel within India and occasionally to the company’s California head office (10%).
Eligibility
- LL.B. / LL.M. from a reputed Indian institute.
- 6–8 years of experience in multinational law firms, top Indian law firms, or in-house legal departments of multinational corporations in the High-Tech industry.
- Broad understanding of Indian employment law.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
