Details of the Job/Internship

Trilegal is hiring an Associate / Senior Associate in its Labour and Employment Law practice with 2–7 years of experience to join its Mumbai office. The role is part of a highly regarded practice that advises clients across sectors on complex employment matters, regulatory compliance, disputes, and evolving legislative frameworks.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise on employee compensation and benefits, including structuring remuneration and retention policies.
• Handle compliance with social security laws, leave entitlements, wage and hour regulations.
• Advise on senior management hiring and exits, workforce reorganisation, and business closures.
• Conduct legal due diligence and advise on employee transfers in business acquisitions.
• Draft and structure employment contracts, engagement models, and arrangements for contract and contingent workforce.
• Prepare separation and exit documentation, restrictive covenants, employee handbooks, and policies.
• Assist with statutory and workplace training, disciplinary matters, and employee investigations.
• Handle trade union disputes and settlements.
• Represent clients before provident fund and other regulatory authorities.
• Advise on immigration-related employment issues.
• Conduct labour audits and assist in disciplinary inquiries and white-collar employee investigations.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• 2 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in Employment Law practice.

Salary/Stipend
