Details of the Job/Internship

Trilegal is hiring an Associate / Senior Associate for its Labour and Employment Law practice to join its Mumbai or Bangalore office. The role involves advising clients on a broad spectrum of employment and labour law matters in a constantly evolving legislative environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise on employee compensation and benefits, including structuring remuneration and retention policies.
• Handle compliance with social security laws, leave entitlements, wage and hour regulations.
• Advise on senior management hiring and exits, workforce reorganisations, right-sizing exercises and business closures.
• Support due diligence and employee transfers in business acquisitions.
• Draft and structure employment contracts, engagement models, arrangements with contract and contingent workforce.
• Prepare separation and exit documentation, restrictive covenants, employee handbooks and policies.
• Conduct statutory and workplace training and handle disciplinary matters.
• Advise on trade union disputes and settlements and represent clients before provident fund and other regulatory authorities.
• Handle immigration-related employment issues.
• Conduct labour audits and assist with disciplinary inquiries and white-collar employee investigations.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• Post-qualification experience of 2 to 7 years in employment law practice.
