BlackRock is hiring for the position of Employment Legal, Director with 12+ years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to India leadership and HR teams on all aspects of employment law (contentious and non-contentious).
- Advise on employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, disciplinary issues, redundancies, and separation agreements.
- Support HR on compliance with Indian labor laws, including PoSH regulations, compensation, and benefits.
- Advise on employment aspects of transactions (M&A, outsourcing, insourcing, office establishments, employee transfers).
- Draft and review labor contracts, HR policies, employee handbooks, and termination documentation.
- Partner with regional and global legal teams on cross-border employment matters and global initiatives (e.g., diversity & inclusion).
- Liaise with internal legal stakeholders and external counsel to manage employment law issues and litigation.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate employment-related legal risks.
- Deliver training sessions for HR and business teams on employment law topics.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer in India with 12+ years of employment law experience.
- In-depth expertise in Indian labor and employment regulations.
- Prior in-house experience in multinational corporations or financial institutions strongly preferred.
