BlackRock is hiring an Employment Legal, Director with 12+ years of experience to join its Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise India leadership and HR teams on all aspects of employment law.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters, redundancies, and separation negotiations.
- Provide guidance on POSH compliance, compensation, and regulatory issues.
- Draft and review employment-related contracts, HR policies, and termination documents.
- Support HR on employment aspects of transactions (M&A, outsourcing, insourcing, office establishment).
- Collaborate with regional/global legal teams on cross-border initiatives, including diversity and inclusion.
- Liaise with external counsel and manage employment law disputes.
- Conduct training sessions for HR and business teams.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer in India with 12+ years of employment law experience.
- Strong expertise in Indian labor laws and employment regulations.
- Prior in-house experience in multinational corporations or financial institutions preferred.
- Strong drafting, advisory, and stakeholder management skills.
