Sustainability Economics.ai is hiring an Energy Law Expert (PPA Expert) to join their on-site team in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development, review, and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements.
- Analyse commercial, legal, and financial terms of PPAs.
- Support project teams in structuring bankable PPAs for financing and investments.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, engineering, and risk teams.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, and milestones after execution.
- Assess market trends, pricing structures, and regulatory changes impacting PPAs.
- Structure innovative PPA solutions aligned with market and customer needs.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks in energy offtake.
- Support financing processes with compliant PPA documentation.
- Improve PPA templates, negotiation strategies, and processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Law, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in energy contracts, power markets, renewable project development, and PPAs.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing PPAs.
- Experience with solar, wind, storage, or hybrid energy projects.
- Strong understanding of power markets, tariff structures, and energy regulations.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and financial contract terms.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and pricing analysis.
